About Us
 

Fascinating World Media (FWM), also referred to as simply Fascinating World, was officially found in the early summer of 2022 by me, Krishna Rathuryan, a student at the Hun School of Princeton, and my goal was straightforward: to spread knowledge and make the general populace just a little smarter! We initially only posted content on history-related topics, but since then, our platform has grown, and nowadays, we post content on subjects like finance, science, and aviation as well. At the moment, we have 200,000 followers and over 110 million views across social media, with our website seeing 15,000 visits each month.

 

Our website is optimized for search engines like Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, Yandex, and Google. We are rated as a highly credible source by the MBFC for having proper sourcing, no failed fact-checks, and “highly factual” reporting. The MBFC is a nonpartisan group that analyzes the credibility and integrity of various sources and media outlets, and they’ve been used in reputable organizations like the League of Women Voters (MWV), while also being partners with educational institutions/labs like the CSS Lab at UPenn. Fascinating World has been cited in many informational online forums, small educational blogs, content on social media pages, and surprisingly, even a Wikipedia article about Olympus Mons!

 

Our mission at Fascinating World is to educate, entertain, and inspire through educational content that spans from finance, politics, and government to history, technology, and science. We strive to create an engaging experience when it comes to learning and gaining knowledge. We try to make learning something that’s easy and accessible to all, ensuring that anyone can read or watch about topics in a way that is both informative and fun. We even newly added an “English as a Second Language” (ESL) section so that people learning English can have an easier time improving their skills and understanding new topics! Another goal for our platform is to give young students with a passion for journalism, especially for topics such as economics, public policy, and science, the opportunity to express their creativity, learn new skills, and improve their ability to conduct research, write, and edit. Anyone interested can easily apply to be a part of our team, become a guest writer, or intern by sending us an email.

Over the years, we have posted thousands of posts/“threads” on Twitter/X and hundreds of videos and slideshows on TikTok and YouTube. We have also posted hundreds of articles on this website, written and fact-checked by our qualified team of high school students.
